The Engineering Environment Development & Support (EEDS) Simulation and Analysis team provides coast to coast support to engineering and manufacturing organizations within Northrop Grumman and is looking to augment its Systems and Software team with another member.
The successful candidate needs to demonstrate strong leadership characteristics and be a self-starter who operates at a high level with little direction or oversight. They possess the will to learn new technical concepts, think outside the box, and be open to learning, training, and developing SME level expertise where it did not exist before! We are also looking for someone with analytical skills, a service-oriented mindset, strong communications skills, and attention to detail. The ideal candidate has experience with Systems Engineering tools such as Cameo, ModelCenter, Rhapsody, and Parasoft etc. as well as scripting experience.
The role requires regular interface with engineers, management, and the development of processes for large groups of users.
The position is located in Linthicum, MD. Work arrangement will be on-site, hybrid, with an option for full time telecommuting.
This position does require candidates to have experience with Systems Engineering tools such as Cameo, ModelCenter, Rhapsody, Parasoft, etc. as well as scripting experience.
Responsibilities include:
Provide exemplary customer service via Service Now Help Desk tickets for sponsored tools and applications
Maintain tool road map up to date with current and historical application release information
Package and customize application installation packages from vendors to be deployed in the software store for customer use
Develop SME level expertise to assist in training and use of sponsored tools.
Engage with user base to determine areas for improvement and customer needs.
Apply engineering techniques and analytical methods to make recommendations for improvements and provide information and assistance to end-users.
Support multiple projects concurrently based on priority and criticality.
Basic Qualifications:
Engineer/Level 2: Associate's degree and 4 years of experience OR Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of relevant professional experience OR Master’s degree and 1 years of experience; 6 years of experience may be considered in lieu of completed degree.
Experience with Systems Engineering concepts, process, and work flow.
Familiar with Systems Engineering tools such as Cameo, ModelCenter, Rhapsody, and Parasoft.
General software scripting and coding skills
General understanding of code constructs and the ability to effectively communicate knowledge to colleagues and stakeholders in a remote environment
Customer-centric; patience and solid communications skills in working with people in varying roles across the organization to resolve technical issues with Engineering tools.
Work and lead effectively within teams where other team members may be located throughout the country and influencing others to action who are not direct reports.
Ability to support multiple projects concurrently based on priority and criticality. Self-starter with the ability to independently resolve issues and deliver results.
Experience with MS Office 365 tools, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Teams.
US Citizenship is required for this position, in addition to the ability to obtain a Secret clearance following hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
Significant Experience with System Engineering Tools as listed above.
Proficiency with Python programming language.
Experience with Linux and Windows scripting.
Recognized go-to person/problem-solver.
Exhibits leadership traits or as functioned as a peer or team lead in the past.
Proven track record providing end user technical support
