Northrop Grumman in Bethpage, NY is seeking multiple Product Systems Engineers Level 2/3 to fill roles on the EA-18G Growler Block 2/NGJ Programs.
As the lead developer of Systems Engineering Products for some of the most advanced USN Platforms in the U.S. arsenal, Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is a world leader in advanced systems and design. These include platforms such as EA-18G Growler and Next Generation Jammer.
Essential Functions:
- Perform R&M allocations and predictions.
- Develop Failure Modes Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA)
- Perform Built in Test (BIT) and Integrated Diagnostics (ID) testability analysis.
- Perform mission reliability analysis.
- Perform failure tracking within the Failure Reporting Analysis and Corrective Action System (FRACAS)
- Develop and review plans for maintainability and testability demonstrations.
- Develop/review/approve Highly Accelerated Life Testing (HALT), Reliability Growth Testing (RGT), and Environmental Stress Screening (ESS)
- Liaison with Integrated Product Teams (IPT) and suppliers for the R&M of assigned subsystems.
Basic Qualifications Reliability Engineer:
- Bachelor’s Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) with 2 years’ relevant experience; OR a Masters’ Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) with 0 years’ experience
- Must have experience in Reliability and Maintainability Engineering discipline.
- Must have the ability to obtain DOD Secret Security Clearance or higher prior to starting
Basic Qualifications Principal Reliability Engineer:
- Bachelor’s Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) with 5 years’ relevant experience; OR a Masters in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) with 3 years’ relevant experience; OR PhD in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) with 0 Years ‘relevant experience.
- Must have experience in Reliability and Maintainability (and/or Safety?) Engineering discipline.
- Must have the ability to obtain DOD Secret Security Clearance or higher prior to starting
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering
- 5 years of experience in Reliability and Maintainability (and/or Safety?) Engineering discipline
- Excellent oral and written communication & interpersonal skills
- Experience in the Aerospace and Defense industry
- Active, In scope DoD Secret clearance within the last 5 years with Special Program Access

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
This position is contingent upon the ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance and contract award.
