Our Platform Laboratory Systems & Design (PLSD) group is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer to join our team of qualified and diverse individuals in Oklahoma City, OK. You will become part of a Northrop Grumman team of professionals who are actively developing Avionics Testing Solutions and Specialized Support Equipment for the Sentinel (GBSD) platform and beyond. These solutions consist of weapon system support equipment, power distribution systems, cooling solutions, networking, simulator/trainers, and harnessing for production and lab systems.
Responsibilities:
Develop and manage system requirements in a Requirements Management database
Derive functional and performance requirements through analysis of higher-level requirements, ConOps, MTAs, and SERDs
Develop logical and physical system architecture using MBSE methodologies
Collaborate with customers, program management, and technical staff to develop product lifecycle solutions
Resolve problems and recommend improvements
Basic Qualifications
A Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) discipline and 5 years of experience; 3 years with a Masters; 0 years with a PhD
Proficient ability to use Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Power Point, Project)
Excellent interpersonal, communication, writing, presentation, and critical thinking skills
Experience in DOORS and/or Cameo, utilizing a Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approach
Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance & specific program access
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in verification and validation or test engineering
Previous Systems Engineering experience
Demonstrated proficiency with SysML, DoDAF, Cameo, and DOORs
Current Active DoD Secret security clearance
Experience with the Minute Man III weapon system or other ICBM systems
Experience in an Agile (SAFe) development environment
