Duties/Responsibilities:
- Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include; concept, design, test, installation, operation, maintenance, and sustainment. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
- Development of architecture, requirements, verification, and integrated change control processes in a disciplined and broad reaching approach spanning cross functional organizations in the following F-16 sustainment modernization functions:
- Coordinate with customers to understand intent and needs of F-16 digital transformation integrated systems requirements
- Collaborates development of digital process order solutions with internal and customer IT subject matter experts
- Design integrated tools for accomplishing Configuration/ Data Management Team mission needs
- Plans, coordinates, implements, and administers program data systems, databases, and document control tools to support program CM/DM requirements
- Builds logical models of program CM/DM systems, libraries, processes, and workflows
- Develops implementation plans to execute special projects to be accomplished within cost/schedule.
- Works closely with the program, customer representatives, functional organizations, and suppliers to ensure that program data models are accurately implemented.
- Work on special projects on behalf of the Configuration and Data Management Team as needed
- Excellent communication and people skills required to work with key stakeholders to achieve project objectives in a timely manner.
- Critical thinking and personal organizational skills required to capture and complete a project that meets all requirements.
- Mentor junior team members.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university
- Minimum 9 years of related systems engineering experience with a bachelor's degree; 7 years of related experience with a Master’s degree, and 4 years of related experience with a PhD
- U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in STEM
- Active Secret Security Clearance or higher
- 7+ years of configuration management experience
- Ability to work without appreciable direction
- Ability to exercise considerable latitude in determining technical objectives
- Ability to develop technical solutions to complex problems which require regular use of ingenuity and creativity
- Excellent communication, mentoring, interpersonal skills, and ability to interface with leadership, peers, and employees
- Previous experience leading a team in successful completion of projects
- Willing to travel 10%
