Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking to hire a Cyber Systems Engineer or Principal Cyber Systems Engineer to its team of diverse and qualified individuals. This position will be located in Roy, UT or Huntsville, AL and will support the Sentinel (GBSD) program. Learn more about the Sentinel program here. Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force’s sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities and associated infrastructure.
What you will get to do:
The selected engineer will be responsible for multiple tasks supporting requirement derivation and verification planning for the Command and Launch Integration and Test Team. The engineer will be responsible for performing tasks dealing with requirement decomposition, compliance tracking, and verification planning and verification execution. This will also include:
- Synthesizing customer contractual needs and requirements into test solutions that acknowledges technical schedule and cost constraints.
- Develop and direct preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures and schedules for subsystem components.
- Coordinate integrated testing activities.
- Support development of the program Integrated Test Plan (ITP) for the CLT segment.
- Review and evaluate test requirements to ensure completeness of test program.
- Perform technical analysis of complete systems and prepare comprehensive system level evaluations.
- Support development of the Master Measurand List (MML) to ensure instrumentation data is gathered throughout the EMD program in support of subsystem verification and validation.
- This position is to support the Integration, Test, Assembly, and Checkout (IATC) team for the Command and Launch IPT. Experience in defense programs, lab test, and ICBM test is preferred. Daily toolset includes Microsoft Office, JIRA, Confluence, Doors, and Cameo.

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Systems Engineer: bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years of related systems engineering experience, 0 years with a master’s degree.
- Active Secret clearance investigated within the last 6 years.
- Ability to obtain special access.
- 1 year of demonstrated experience in developing integration and test plans.
- 1 year of demonstrated experience in a systems engineering or MBSE role. Relevant college courses with CAMEO or a similar tool may be considered.
- Principal Systems Engineer: bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of related systems engineering experience. 3 years with a master’s degree
- Active Secret clearance investigated within the last 6 years.
- Ability to obtain special access.
- 1 year of demonstrated experience in developing integration and test plans.
- 1 year of demonstrated experience in a systems engineering or MBSE role. Relevant college courses with CAMEO or a similar tool may be considered.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience performing large program security architecture using advances tools to achieve threat mitigation.
- Knowledge of classified network design principles, operating systems, CVE and threat analysis and remediation methods
- DoD 8570 IASAE Level III (CISSP-ISSAP, CISSP-ISSEP)
- Active Top Secret DOD security clearance
- Understanding of systems engineering principles and processes, DOORS database, requirements decomposition and allocation, design and analysis
- Proficient in MS Office Products – PowerPoint, Word, Visio, Excel
- Experience with JIRA and Confluence
- Experience with AFSPCMAN 91-710
- Knowledge of leading COTS Security tools and GFE Security Tools
- Knowledge of DISA STIG processes and concepts
