Northrop Grumman's Space Systems organization is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer to join the Command and Launch Team as an Agile Coach. This position will be located in Roy, UT.
What You’ll Get To Do:
- Provide support for day-to-day operations using Agile practices, and adhere to Agile methodology to enforce Scrum compliance among the teams.
- Act as an Agile coach and mentor to other scrum masters, Product Owners, and team members to impart or reinforce knowledge of Agile concepts, tools and practices.
- Facilitate sprint ceremonies, such as Sprint Planning, Review, Retrospective, Daily Scrums, and Backlog Refinement.
- Work with team leads and Product Owners on schedule and Program Increment planning to ensure user stories and sprints align with deadlines.
- Use Agile tools such as Atlassian Jira to aid in Scrum coordination.
- Aid in providing additional Agile metrics, including collating and deriving insights from data.
- Support systems engineering activities including use case development, requirements definition/allocation, functional decomposition, interface definition, verification & validation, and requirements traceability to the test plans
- Coordinate with integrated product teams for establishing content within the architecture.
- Interface with customers, program management and technical staff.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This position may include relocation assistance.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) discipline
- A minimum 5 years of related engineering experience with a bachelor's degree; 3 years’ experience with a Master’s; or 2 years’ with PHD
- Must be a US Citizen with and active Secret Security Clearance (awarded/reinvestigation within 6 years or in CE), and the ability to obtain Special Access Program (SAP) Clearance
- Experience developing models with Cameo or equivalent tools
- Experience using Requirements repository tools (i.e. ,DOORS).
- Experience with Systems Modeling Language (SysML)
- Experience with Agile methodologies (i.e., Scrum)
- Experience with Atlassian Jira
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active Top Secret Clearance (awarded within the past 5 years)
- Experience with Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF), Systems Modeling Language (SYSML), and Unified Architecture Framework (UAF)
- Experience defining systems architecture for developing and decomposing requirements and system functions, developing functional and physical system architectures, and defining interfaces
- Experience developing large, complex systems and holding cross-functional architecture reviews
- Experience with physical security systems
- Previous Systems Engineering experience and understanding of the Systems Engineering Process
- Experience with Agile Development
- Experience using Requirement’s repository tools (i.e., DOORS).
- Excellent organizational and facilitation skills
