The Payload and Ground Systems organization within the Northrop Grumman Space Systems pushes the boundaries of innovation, redefines engineering capabilities, and drives advances in various sciences. Northrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSP) is looking for you to join our team as a Principal Systems Engineer in the Payload and Ground Systems Division. This position can be based out of Fairfax, VA or Aurora, CO.
A successful candidate will demonstrate a technical understanding of Model Based Systems Engineering and the use of Cameo Enterprise Architecture to model systems, subsystems, components, interfaces, and verification paths as well as applying relevant profiles and stereotypes to new and pre-existing nodes. Candidate is expected to work both independently and within a team, demonstrating the ability to complete tasks in a timely manner and communicate effectively with varying levels of program, customer, and functional organization leadership.
Bachelor’s degree in STEM discipline with 5+ years of related experience; or 3+ years of experience with a master’s degree; or a PhD.
Working knowledge of Systems Engineering principles and processes
US Citizenship with ability to obtain a TS/SCI Clearance
3+ years experience modeling with Cameo Enterprise Architecture or MagicDraw (No Magic, Inc)
Demonstrated ability to clearly communicate to team members, customers and stakeholders
Active TS/SCI, granted or re-investigated within the last 6 years or in continuous evaluation
Experience developing, managing and decomposing requirements
Experience in Interface Control Document development
Experience with Agile Development
Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite: JIRA, Confluence, etc
Scrum Master experience
