Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a talented Employee Health Nurse to join our team in Palmdale, CA team. This position can either be filled at a Level 3 or Level 4, depending on qualifications.
Provides nursing services to employees or persons who become ill or suffer an accident. Administers first aid; operates dispensary; attends subsequent dressings of injuries; maintains records of persons treated; prepares accident reports; provides health education information; dispenses standard drugs and medicines such as aspirin and cough or cold tablets; refers contagious diseases or serious injuries to company or employees physician; and may assist doctors in examining patients. Requires nursing curriculum and registration by a state board of nursing.
Basic Qualifications Level 3:
Associates degree in Nursing
4 or more years of experience as an RN
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, e-mail and internet navigation
Strong presentation skills
Ability to work independently or with a team on special projects
Excellent written/oral communication and interpersonal skills
Strong attention to detail
Ability to perform a variety of tasks simultaneously
Ability to maintain confidential documents and information
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects at one time under tight deadlines
Ability to function within all levels of organization and at various locations
CPR/BLS certification
Active CA RN license
Basic Qualifications Level 4:
Associates degree in Nursing
6 or more years of experience as an RN

Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing
2+ years in occupational health
Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation (CAOHC)
Spirometry (NIOSH approved course optimal)
Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN)
