Your Role:
As a Facilities Lead at Northrop Grumman Australia (NGA), you'll be at the helm of Facilities Operations for our Head Office in Canberra. This multifaceted role involves overseeing various aspects, including repair and maintenance programs, minor works, Facilities Operations input into capital projects, and more, all within the context of our Defence Industry security accreditations.
Reporting to the Chief Security Officer, you will manage budgets, engage with contractors, and ensure that our facilities meet Australian and International standards. Your responsibilities extend to coordinating with suppliers, conducting inspections, and promptly addressing customer requests.
Your new role is vital in upholding the security, safety, efficiency, and excellence of our facilities operations.
About You:
You're a seasoned Facilities Lead with over five years of experience in facilities and construction management. Your expertise extends to comprehending the intricacies of trades, industry standards, legal regulations and various building operations, including electrical, hydraulical, and mechanical services. Your track record includes current and demonstrable proficiency in hazard identification and management, along with a proven ability to manage contractors, including scoping works and obtaining competitive quotes. You excel in building a strong subcontractor network and possess intermediate computing skills, particularly in the Microsoft Office Suite.
With a sharp focus on numeracy, attention to detail, and analytical prowess, you're well-equipped to handle financial planning, procurement activities, and the swift resolution of issues while ensuring a safe work environment. Your exceptional multitasking abilities shine, even when managing concurrent tasks with competing priorities.
