Northrop Grumman has an opening for a Maintenance Plumber Level 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals! The selected candidate will work on site in Palmdale, California.
Job Functions:
- Performs repairs and maintenance in plant or office facilities, or on machines and equipment
- Conducts routine, periodic, or special inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdowns of facilities, machinery, and equipment
- Uses hand and power tools
- Tests, inspects, troubleshoots, and repairs machines and equipment
- Uses blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications
- Install, maintain and repair pipes, drains, guttering, mechanical services and related equipment for water supply, gas, drainage, sewerage, and other duties as assigned
- Replace and/or repair fixtures, water heaters, clean drains, work minor interior repairs
(drywall, tile, ceilings, etc.) reconfigure conference rooms, escorting, and other daily trade tasks as assigned
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED and 2 years of experience working in the manufacturing industry, maintenance, and/or construction environment
- Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required
- Able to work on site in Palmdale, California
- Plumbing Experience
- Ability to work 4/10 (4 days a week/10 hour a day)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience using Maximo Data Base for work tickets and job assignments
- Experience in Aerospace/Defense Industry
- Strong computer, math, analytical, and planning skills
