Northrop Grumman is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician Level 3 or Level 4 to support our Maintenance Team at our Clearfield, Utah location.
Role Description & Responsibilities:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining production and quality by ensuring operation of machinery and mechanical equipment.
Job Duties:
- Perform mechanical and or electrical troubleshooting on all equipment
- Perform routine mechanical / electrical / electronic preventative maintenance on plant equipment, including our CNC and automated machines, Boilers, Autoclaves, HVAC systems, General lighting, Air compressors, Hydraulic systems, Overhead Cranes etc.
- Other duties to support Maintenance Team as assigned
This requisition can be filled at either level based on the qualifications.
Basic Qualifications:
Maintenance Technician Level 3:
- High School Diploma or GED with 4 years of experience working in the manufacturing industry as an Electrical / Mechanical Industrial Maintenance Technician
- Certificate of Training in a Journeyman level Automated Maintenance Technician Program (4 years working as a supporting tradesman may qualify in lieu of certificate)
- Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.
- Strong computer, math, analytical, and troubleshooting skills required.
- Ability to obtain DOD secret security clearance
- Ability to work graveyard 12 hour shifts (6:00pm-6:00am)(shift differential included in salary)
Maintenance Technician Level 4:
- High School Diploma or GED with 6 years of experience working in the manufacturing industry as an Electrical / Mechanical Industrial Maintenance Technician
- Certificate of Training in a Journeyman level Automated Maintenance Technician Program (4 years working as a supporting tradesman may qualify in lieu of certificate)
- Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required
- Strong computer, math, analytical, and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to obtain DOD secret security clearance
- Ability to work graveyard 12 hour shifts (6:00pm-6:00am)(shift differential included in salary)
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- Licensed Journeyman in trade (plumber, pipe-fitter, millwright, etc…) or Master Electrician
- Electrician: Must be proficient and knowledgeable in 3 phase and single-phase power distribution systems, motor controls, wiring and troubleshooting of such systems
- Certifications or demonstrated competency repairing complex electro-mechanical systems
- Certifications or demonstrated competency repairing automated motion control systems
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement concepts.
- Working knowledge of HVAC maintenance
- Current active DOD secret security clearance
