The Northrop Grumman Global Procurement Services Enterprise Facility Services organization is committed to delivering timely and affordable solutions to our external and internal customers. We are seeking a Supply Chain Procurement Specialist for our Fairfax, VA or Melbourne, FL office. The person in this position will provide procurement support for a wide variety of projects, including but not limited to: facilities design, construction, tenant improvements, facilities-related goods and services and trade services. This is a key position that will help ensure all contractual provisions related to our facilities projects are followed, monitored and close out. This person will play a key role in managing all aspects of supply chain engagement to ensure that all work is completed on time and within budget.
  • Coordinates the negotiation, execution and monitoring/compliance of all contracts
  • Monitors subcontractor supplier performance to key dates/milestones/documents and facilitating all communications
  • Interprets contract provisions to help resolve claims and questions submitted by subcontractors
  • Handles all paperwork required to obtain approval of work not previously covered under contract; process and obtain approval of all contract changes
  • Monitors compliance to contract requirements ensuring all conditions are satisfied before approval of the final invoice
  • Reviews all invoices from Suppliers and Subcontractor for accuracy and compliance with the contract
  • Assists facilities project managers in maintenance analysis of variances to budget
  • Initiates and/or conducts meetings with subcontractors concerning contractual problems as requested by the Facilities Project Manager
  • Establishes and updates records of all correspondence related to contract activity
  • Assists in compiling and preparing bid documents and bidders list, including any inquiry preparations, request for bids and recommendations for award of contract
 

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 6 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, contract management, program management and/or project management OR a Master's degree and 3 years of experience.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree
  • Large contracts experience, i.e. $10 million + annual spend
  • Certified Construction Contract Administration (CCCA) certification
  • Project Management Institute (PMP)Project Management Professional Certification
  • Institute for Supply Management (CPSM) Certification
