Northrop Grumman Corporation is seeking a Corporate Financial Analyst. This position will sit out of our office in Falls Church, VA and report to the Manager of Corporate Accounting.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Assist with preparation of financial statement analytics and other management reports.
- Prepare monthly Intercompany Accounting Transfers and international billings that are complex in nature.
- Prepare account reconciliations and assist with resolution of reconciling items.
- Prepare journal entries and related support for routine and non-routine transactions that are material and complex in nature.
- Work with sectors and other Corporate departments, e.g. government accounting, tax, treasury on routine transactions.
- Interact with foreign and shared service accounting staff to ensure appropriate accounting processes are in place.
- Assist with the preparation of quarterly and year-end financial reporting packages for corporate entities.
- Assist with the monthly load and consolidation of corporate domestic and international entities into Hyperion Financial Management.
- Assist with SOX, DCAA and IRS audits.
- Maintain documentation to support statement of work.
Basic Qualifications for Financial Analyst:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field, and 3 years of relevant work experience; 1 year of relevant work experience with a master's degree.
- Master’s degree or CPA may be traded for 2 years of experience. Master’s degree and a CPA may be traded for a total of 3 years of experience.
- Public accounting experience, IF directly relevant, may count for up to an additional year of experience for each year of relevant experience.
Basic Qualifications for Principal Financial Analyst:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field, and 6 years of relevant work experience.
- Master’s degree or CPA may be traded for 2 years of experience. Master’s degree and a CPA may be traded for a total of 3 years of experience.
- Public accounting experience, IF directly relevant, may count for up to an additional year of experience for each year of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications for both levels:
- Public accounting firm experience.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or actively pursuing licensure.
- Prior experience with SAP and/or HFM.
- Strong time management and organization skills.
- Must be able to function in a dynamic organization, effectively managing competing priorities
- Understanding of government contract accounting regulations, cost accounting standards and federal acquisition regulations
