Description
The selected candidate will directly support the Future Tactical Unmanned Air System Program (FTUAS). The successful candidate will be responsible for remotely operating unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) identified from ground control station or airborne platform and recovers vehicle. Plans and analyzes flight missions. Performs pre-flight, in-flight and post-flight checks and procedures. Stores and retrieves intelligence data using computer. May oversee and assist in air frame repair. Candidate must be willing and able to deploy as needed in support of Military Forces.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Train and Support Army Units in all aspects of flight operations including new equipment training and follow on support during deployments.
Coordinate and actively participate in ground and flight operations efforts including mission planning, execution and briefing, debriefing, air / ground crew resource management, and safety.
Familiarity with Army forms, records, and publications as well as Contractor Flight and Ground Operations procedures and records (DCMA 8210).
Must demonstrate a detailed understanding of UAV and FAA principles, theories and concepts.
Basic Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED with over 4 years experience
Prior UAV flight experience with support for the U.S. Army Flight Operations.
Ability to obtain an active DOD Security Clearance.
Ability to maintain a FAA Class II flight physical.
