Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking several highly qualified Aircraft Maintenance Manager 2’s for the flight test maintenance team on the Strike program at Edwards AFB, CA.
These positions will oversee the maintenance, servicing, repair and overhauling of multiple aircraft and aircraft systems. The selected candidates will be responsible for ensuring that assigned aircraft are maintained and serviced in accordance with company policy and associated aircraft tech orders and maintenance schedules. Daily responsibilities include direct supervision of the staff, managing assignments, coordinating cost and schedule with Program leadership and budgets, and securing parts and materials as necessary.
This position will be located 100% on-site at Edwards AFB, CA.
Candidates must be willing to work various shifts depending on the business needs: 4x10 schedule (Mon-Thurs) 1st shift; 4x10 (Mon-Thurs) 2nd shift; 3x10 schedule (Fri, Sat, Sun) 1st shift; 3x10 schedule (Fri, Sat, Sun) 2nd shift.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Generate aircraft to support tests in accordance with requirements from test integration
Forecast, plan, and complete required air vehicle maintenance and modifications
Schedule shifts, teams and work packages
Manage and track air vehicle configuration
Assign daily work requirements to the team
Ensure compliance with environmental, safety and quality processes
Ensure accurate, complete, and current employee training records

Basic Qualifications:
Must have a Bachelor Degree AND 9 years of relevant professional/military experience, OR a Master's degree and 7 years of relevant professional/military experience, OR 5 years related experience with a PhD
Must have prior management / leadership experience
Must have an active DoD Secret Clearance or higher (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation)
Must have ability to obtain and maintain Program Access (PAR) within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline
Experience in a developmental/operational test maintenance environment
Experience in a US Air Force Combined Test Force
Experience leading an aircraft operation under DCMA Instruction 8210 oversight
