Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Night shift Avionics Technician 2/3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our E-2 Flight Operations. This role will be located in Saint Augustine, Florida.
The selected candidate should perform tasks that are varied and moderately complex with limited supervision. The selected candidate must understand the importance of using discretion, latitude, and must have high integrity. This position will be supporting our Night shift team and this shift includes a shift differential in addition to base pay.
Essential Functions:
- Installs and troubleshoots avionics systems wiring in aircraft in accordance with technical specifications, engineering instructions, and FAA regulations.
- Support flight operations and avionics systems testing.
- Reads wiring diagrams and blueprints.
- May assist in orienting, training, assigning and checking the work of lower-level employees.
- Routinely check work. Errors may be difficult to detect and would normally result in loss of customer business, material, or equipment to resolve.
- Obtaining or providing information or data on matters of moderate importance to the function of the department or which may be of sensitive nature.

This requisition may be filled at either an Avionics Technician 2 or 3 based on the qualifications below.
Basic Qualifications Level 2:
- High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years additional related flight line avionics experience
- Must be able to perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitious work to include bending, stooping, kneeling, lifting up to 40 pounds, and working overhead.
- Must be able to access small, confined spaces, and work in an enclosed environments and high spaces.
- Ability to pass medical/respiratory evaluation in order to obtain and maintain necessary respirator clearance and compliance with all respirator fitting requirements.
- Ability to relay and receive information over ambient noise levels.
- Ability to work any shift.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Secret DoD Clearance within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.

Preferred Qualifications:
- E-2 experience
- Experience working aerospace avionics electrical system installations, operation of avionic systems and troubleshooting.
- Active Secret DoD Clearance last investigated within the last 5 1/2 years.
