Are you ready to put your experience to work at Northrop Grumman? If so, Our Defense Systems wants you to join our Team as a Principal Aircraft Structures Mechanic / Principal Electrical Avionics Technician for the F-18 E/F Super Hornet. This effort will support a Foreign Military Sales (FMS) program in New Orleans, LA (NOLA). Although this an FMS program, this position is not deployable. All work will occur at the NAS Joint Reserve Base in NOLA.
As an F-18 E/F Principal Aircraft Structures Mechanic you will be responsible for Organizational Level (“O” level) support of the aircraft’s airframe and control surfaces (rudders, flaps, ailerons, etc.), to include hydraulics systems and flight control rigging. You will demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of all Airframe systems aboard the aircraft and will be tasked to resolve technical problems encountered. You may also be called upon to provide technical advice, training, and troubleshooting assistance to “O” Level technicians.
As an F-18 E/F Principal Electrical Avionics Technician you will be responsible for Organizational Level (“O” level) support of the aircraft’s Electrical systems. To include understanding pre-flight and post-flight inspections. You will demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of all Aircraft avionics systems aboard the aircraft and will be tasked to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems encountered. You may also be called upon to also provide technical advice, training, and troubleshooting assistance to “O” Level technicians.
You should be familiar with IETM’s, as well as the NAMP 4790 and applicable NAVAIR technical publications. As required, you may need to generate written reports for management in support of any contractual obligations.

Basic Qualifications:
High-school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 3 years of F/A-18 E/F experience.
Familiarity with F/A-18 inspections, servicing, troubleshooting, removals, and repairs.
Have an active interim Secret Clearance.
Have comprehensive written and verbal English communication skills.
Ability to work flexible schedules to accommodate customer maintenance requirements.
Able to clearly document maintenance and repair actions, equipment status tags, logs, parts requests, etc.
Able to perform assigned duties while wearing required safety equipment.
Able to comply with all rules and regulations concerning health and safety, tool control, FOD control, and all training and certification requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience supporting U.S. Navy F-18 squadrons on deployment.
Current Secret Clearance.
A & P License.
