Aircraft Maintenance Manager, USN Triton/UAE

Northrop Grumman Defense Services is seeking an experienced Manager to join its dynamic team of technical professionals & lead the (USN Triton/MQ-4C) Maintenance Department located in the United Arab Emirates.

Job Description:

Supervisory or personnel management responsibilities for more than one integrated support element, including systems analysis, spares, provisioning, technical data, training, maintenance or modifications, support equipment and facilities.

  • Responsible to the Program Manager for the schedule and technical performance of the NGDS USN/Triton (UAE) Maintenance Department.
  • Supports the Program Manager as the company's single point of contact for all (O & D Level) maintenance/FSR function(s), and Logistic activities of the unmanned MQ-4C Triton aircraft.
  • Will participate in daily review sessions with customer to discuss schedule, and technical performance of the AV & maintenance team.
  • The Maintenance Manager oversees maintenance, servicing, repair, and overhaul of UAS/air vehicles. Must become an expert in all associated subsystems to ensure that they are in good mechanical condition and maintain airworthiness/safety.
  • Maintains interfaces with all departments having direct impact on the air vehicles and field support systems. Must adhere to configuration management, technical orders, field modification, repair programs, software support, support equipment and other field support activities.
  • Provides knowledge/experience of Naval Aviation Maintenance Programs/NAVAIR technical publications/data & NG engineering requirements.
  • Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to integrated master schedules (IMS) as it pertains to the air vehicles and ground support shelters.
  • Responsible for adherence to contracts Statement of Work (SOW), Ground/Contractor Operating Procedures (GOP/COP) IAW DCMA 8210.1c/d, maintenance, and flight/operations schedules.
  • Identifies problems and recommends solutions, such as allocation of resources or modification of contractual specifications.
  • Assists with audits, program inspections, and incorporates appropriate corrective actions/adjustments to maintain contract compliance/performance.
  • Direct management of employees/schedules/training and provides overall feedback via annual/semi performance rating & review.
  • Will recommend procedure changes to improve maintainability of aircraft and timely inspections.
  • Will reference manufacturers' technical manuals & explore engineering consultation for specifications (as needed) to determine feasibility of repair or replacement of AV components/structural repair.
  • Available to work and/or modify multiple shifts as needed to maintain customers operational support function
  • May require Safe for Flight certification/designation.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must have 9 years of experience with a HS Diploma or bachelor’s degree (or higher) in an appropriate technical discipline and 5 years of relevant experience.
  • An Active DoD Secret clearance is required 
  • Must have ability to upgrade/maintain a Top-Secret clearance up to SCI/Poly requirement.
  • Must have strong communication/collaboration skills to relay important program details between multiple OCONUS site locations
  • Must be willing to travel/live abroad (OCONUS)
  • Must have valid/current passport credentials.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in managing a maintenance department supporting a Naval Aviation Program/NAVAIR
  • MQ-4C (USN)Triton maintenance/management experience, and/or Navy/Marine Corps Maintenance Control
  • Safe for Flight experience
  • Knowledgeable of DCMA INST 8210.1c/d, OPNAVINST 4790.2 and DOD Contractor Performance Assessment Reports.

NGSkill

Salary Range: $92,000 - $138,000
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
