Are you ready to put your experience to work at Northrop Grumman? If so, our Aeronautics Systems sector is currently seeking Aircraft Structures Mechanics based in Clearfield, Utah. You will be responsible for performing part-fitting operations such as filing, sawing, burring, crimping, trimming, framing, riveting, drilling, and reaming. Measuring parts with micrometers and calipers to verify dimensions. Modifying incomplete and complete assemblies to incorporate changes to structure. Monitoring and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of 6 years of experience in an aerospace environment
- DoD Secret Security Clearance and special program access required to start, but not required to apply
- Able to read and interpret schematics, assembly drawings, process specifications, technical manuals, written instructions, test procedures, etc.
- Ability to work flexible, changing shifts, including weekends
- This position requires the ability to perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitious work to include: bending, stooping, kneeling, carrying tools, lifting up to 50 pounds and working overhead
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active DoD Secret level security clearance
- A&P License
- Composite experience and/or certification
- Previous composite, manufacturing, or production experience
- Demonstrated ability using standard measuring equipment and power hand tools
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, technical specifications and operating procedures
