Northrop Grumman is seeking a motivated professional to join our team as Senior Principal Military Trainer. The location of this position is at Colorado Springs, CO. The MTCCS organization pushes the boundaries of innovation, redefines simulations capabilities, and drives advances in army mission command training. In support of the Senior Principal Military Trainer Movement and Maneuver is an integral part of the collective training team and exercise design at our site. Must be a subject matter expert in the movement and maneuver warfighting function in addition to being a subject matter expert for all the tasks required of the collective training team.  They liaise with training unit commands and prepare exercises such as CPX, MCSI, MDMP, CUOPS, STAFFEX and any other requested collective training events.  They ensure that all simulations are properly leveraged for the effects required to meet the training unit objectives, attends meetings requiring team lead participation, works with MTC scheduler to schedule unit training, assembles and transmits soldier feedback and usage reports to government as necessary, is responsible for tours and VIP visits, conducts inventory of equipment on a regular basis and processes supply and equipment requests through appropriate channels.  The Senior Principal Military Trainer is prepared to assist and/or assign other team members in the design and execution of small to large exercises requiring simulations support.  The Senior Principal Military Trainer takes primary lead in the mentoring and over-the-shoulder training of division staffs within III Corps with a primary focus on 4th ID as it relates to movement and maneuver. Also ensures the team can connect Live, Virtual, and Constructive (LVC) simulations within one week of notice.

Basic Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor’s degree with 10 years of experience or Master’s Degree with 8 years’ experience
  • Five years’ experience in TOC operations and AMCS skills
  • Must be a US citizen
  • Must have DoD SECRET Clearance
  • Must be willing to travel outside Fort Carson 2-4 times/year for up to 2 weeks/trip
  • Experience in battalion or brigade as a Commander or DIV G3 staff officer or above required
  • MEL 4-CGSC or Equivalent; graduate of a related Advance Course
  • Familiar with current Army/Joint doctrine
  • Highly proficient with MS Office suite of software (Powerpoint, Word, Excel)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Graduate degree
  • Tactical Mission Command/CPoF BC10 or higher
  • Army Instructor certification and experience with other AMCS or Enabling systems, (FBCB2/JCR, BCS3, MTS, AFATDS, JADOCS, TIGR, CIDNE, TAIS, AMDWS,DCGS-A, etc) and simulations systems or Army Low Overhead Tactical Trainers (ALOTT)
  • Security +, A+ or other technical certifications a plus

Salary Range: 85700 - 1128500

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
