Northrop Grumman Defense Systems sector (NGDS) is seeking a Principal Military Trainer – Sustainment Scenario Analyst to join our growing team of diverse professionals supporting our Mission Command Training Program (MCTP) at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. The MCTP trains Brigade, Division, and Corps Commanders and their staffs during simulation-driven command post Warfighter Exercises (WFX) in support of Large-Scale Combat Operations and across Multi-Domain Operations.
MCTP established the S4/Sustainment Integration Division within the Headquarters Support Team to integrate, reconcile, and synchronize Human Resources, Health Service Support and Logistics doctrine and best practices into the design and execution of Warfighter Exercises (WFXs) in accordance with FORSCOM Business Rules and MCTP leadership guidance and direction.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepares Master Significant Events List (MSEL) injects to build PMESII-based storylines that support the exercise scenario plan for MCTP simulation exercises
As a Sustainment Data Analyst, with emphasis on Health Service Support and Human Resources, plans and designs the replication of the sustainment aspects of the Operating Environment (OE) existing in Joint, Interagency, Intergovernmental, and Multinational (JIIM) operations in order to develop current, relevant, campaign quality, joint and expeditionary Mission Command instincts and skills in the training audience
As sustainment subject matter expert (SME), Health Service Support and Human Resources, assists in the MCTP orders writing process for the Higher Command and Sustainment Higher Command (HICOM & SHICOM) orders, and the implementation and execution of those orders during the WFX
Familiar with Army and Joint doctrine, tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTP), planning and execution at the tactical and operational levels in a variety of Army and Joint organizations
Participate in all Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC) events: IEP, MEP, FEP, IPRs, and MSEL Conferences, per the MCTP WFX SOP
Inputs MSEL injects into the exercise, coordinates inter-agency activities in support of the scenario, and generates reports as directed
Conducts research in support of scenario requirements for health service support and human resources for each exercise environment. Integrate these sustainment functions in Mission Command Seminar (BCS) and Academics as required
May deploy to various countries, as required, in support of U.S. military operations
Basic Qualifications:
One of the following:
Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 6 years of professional and/or military leadership experience
Master’s degree with a minimum of 4 years of professional and/or military leadership experience
Be Functional Area (FA) FA90 (Logistics), FA70 (Medical), or FA42 (HR)
Experience working with U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) or Interagency/Joint environments
Familiar with current Army doctrine
Highly proficient with MS Office suite of software (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Access) and Adobe Acrobat Pro
Must be able to travel as needed both CONUS and OCONUS (up to 25% of the time)
Must have an active U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance
Must be able to work on-site at Fort Leavenworth in Kansas
Preferred Qualifications:
A minimum of 2 years of experience in design, planning, configuration, and conduct of large-scale computer simulation exercises
U.S. Army Command and General Staff Officer Course, Intermediate Level Education (ILE), or MEL 4 equivalent
Successfully served in a key sustainment developmental position at the corps/division/brigade level (i.e., Support Operations Officer, CORPS/Division G-1/G-4/Surgeon)
Strong knowledge of doctrinal and operational sustainment, at the tactical, operational, and strategic levels of command
Former OC/T at Army CTC, preferably MCTP experience as a Sustainment, HR, or Medical Trainer
