Northrop Grumman is seeking a motivated professional to join our team as Senior Principal Military Trainer - Collective Trainer Lead. The location of this position is at Fort Riley, Kansas. The Lead Collective Trainer for the Fort Riley, Kansas Mission Training Complex: responsible to plan, coordinate, prepare, and conduct battle staff exercises (STAFFEX), Military Decision Making Process (MDMP) workshops, command post exercises (CPXs), staff / Tactical Command Post proficiency training, Senior Officer & Warfighter seminars, and other supporting events at the battalion, brigade, and division level. The candidate shall develop home station training support packages and supporting scenarios that are relevant to the operating environment of the training unit, which will focus on the art and science of mission command. Provide over-the-shoulder and observer/coach/trainer support to the training unit, battalion through division level, from the initial planning conference through the final After Action Reviews (AAR). Upon completion of unit training; create, compile and lead an AAR to enhance and improve the capabilities of the training unit. Able to perform duties as HICOM and/or EXCON OIC employing relevant scripted and dynamic master scenario event list injects in a fluid tactical environment and IAW unit training objectives.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 10 years of experience or Master’s Degree with 8 years’ experience

  • Must have a thorough understanding of the Army’s MCIS and their inter-dependencies with other WfF systems

  • Candidate must have the ability to train individuals on the Military Decision Making Process and command post functions and operations

  • Must be capable of conducting IPRs to schedule and tailor unit training and forecast requirements for upcoming progressive events

  • An Active DoD Secret Clearance

  • Must have a background in training management; possess a minimum of fifteen (15) years of supervisory experience; and a thorough understanding of US Army operations

  • Candidate must have served previously as a battalion commander and served as either a military instructor at a center of excellence, or as a CTC Observer/Coach/Trainer

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Graduate degree - Served as an instructor at the Maneuver or the Mission Command Center of Excellence

  • Previously served as a brigade commander and attended the Senior Service College

  • Possess a Top Secret SCI clearance

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills and ability to correspond and communicate with senior military leaders working knowledge of MSEL development and providing an uncooperative, challenging OPFOR during command post exercises

  • Strong background in OPFOR weapons systems and capabilities.

  • Brigade or higher staff officer experience

  • An Active DoD Secret Clearance or higher Northrop Grumman is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.

Salary Range: 77100 - 115700

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
