Northrop Grumman Space Systems has an opening for a Staff Agile Coach to join our team of highly qualified and diverse individuals within the Tactical Space Systems Division (TSSD) Software Digital Transformation organization. This position will be located in Gilbert, AZ or Dulles, VA.

Us: The Software Digital Transformation organization is focused on supporting Agile and DevOps transformation throughout the division. The team consists of multiple Agile and DevOps Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) dedicated to supporting organizational and programmatic change, as well as being the functional home room for Agile and DevOps engineers.

Role: In this role you will be responsible for coaching programs, teams, and individuals on a wide variety of Agile methodologies and techniques including Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe. You must be able to cultivate relationships with Business and Program leaders and gain their confidence and trust as a SME. This role targets strategic efforts with customer facing programs and business leadership. You may support a variety of strategic efforts to include proposal development, risk management, release management, and project planning activities.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s in a STEM field with 14 years of experience; 12 years with Masters; 9 Years with PhD
  • Minimum 7 years of total Agile Experience, with 5 years leading teams
  • Direct experience with transitioning teams to Lean-Agile practices, including both individual teams and multi-team projects
  • Active Agile certification such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM), ACP, SAFe Agilist, etc.
  • US Citizen

Preferred Qualifications:

  • An advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other STEM discipline
  • Experience with Space Systems, Satellites, Ground Systems, and/or Ground Stations
  • Experience with DevOps, and Scaled Agile (SAFe)
  • Experience participating in or implementing Program Increment activities
  • Experience in broad organizational change and transformation activities with concentration in the development of strategies, roadmaps, integration, implementation, and/or operations of complex, large-scale information systems and technologies
  • Possess one or more of the following advanced certifications or equivalent: Certified Scrum Practitioner (CSP), Certified Enterprise Coach (CEC) , SAFe Program Consultant (SPC), Certified Scrum @ Scale Trainer, Certified Scrum Trainer (CST), Professional Scrum Trainer (PST)

Salary Range: $134,700 USD - $202,100 USD
Salary Range 2: $156,000 USD - $234,000 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
