This Manufacturing Technician positing is located in Gilbert. AZ. The technician should be capable and experienced in working in a broad based manufacturing environment. Technician will work with a team of several people including Manufacturing Engineers and Production Planners. Will ultimately report to Manufacturing Manager.

Responsibilities/Duties:

  • It entails the manufacturing of aerospace thermal blankets, comprised of thin, fragile films sewn and taped together.

  • Working in the Multi-Layer Insulation area (MLI).

  • Assembly is performed in a Professional atmosphere in a Clean Room environment.

  • Daily work attire includes lab coat and latex gloves at all times.

  • Use of industrial sewing machine, scissors, X-acto knives and common hand tools.

  • Operation of Gerber automated cutting machine and related software.

Potential for 2nd shift opportunities.

The candidate must work well alone and within a team environment. Must possess good problem solving skills, organizational skills, communication skills, and work with limited supervision. Must be a self-starter, must be self-motivated, and a team player. Familiarization with ESD, FOD, 5S, and Tool Control required.

Basic Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a High School diploma/GED and a minimum of 2 years of job-related experience is required

  • Ability to work with a Microsoft Office products and process documentation


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Aerospace Industry manufacturing experience.

  • Experience with TipQA, Costpoint, Windchill, MES, Solumina, COGNOS


Salary Range: $39,600 USD - $66,000 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
