Responsibilities:
  • Performs technical planning; system test, verification, and validation; cost and risk analysis; and supportability and effectiveness analysis for total system.
  • Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
  • Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, and detail trade studies to translate customer requirements into actionable solutions.
  • Leads multidisciplinary team in anomaly investigation and resolution activities.
  • Maintains detailed knowledge of current spacecraft configuration and coordinates with subsystem experts to maintain space vehicle health and enhance mission utility.

Basic Qualifications a Principal Engineer Systems:
 
  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM-related discipline and 5+ years of related experience, or 3+ years with a Masters; 0 years with a PhD
  • Technical experience in systems engineering
  • Active or current Top Secret/SCI clearance
  • U.S. citizen
 Basic Qualifications for a Sr. Principal Engineer Systems: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM-related discipline and 9+ years of related experience, or 7+ years with a Masters; 4+ years with a PhD
  • Technical experience in systems engineering
  • Active or current Top Secret/SCI clearance
  • U.S. citizen
 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with various technical analysis tools such as MATLAB and STK
  • Experience with various coding languages such as Perl and C++
  • Experience with Mission Operations for spacecraft
  • Experience in any of the following areas is a plus: orbital mechanics, spacecraft attitude control, power systems and modeling, avionics or digital electronics design, risk analysis, communications, rocket propulsion, thermal engineering, or spacecraft integration and testing
