We are currently seeking a Cyber Information Assurance Manager 1 to work at our campus located in Gilbert, Arizona. This Cyber Manager will supervise a team of Cyber Information Assurance professionals located in Gilbert Arizona and a smaller team in California and Utah. A diverse classified information systems security/information assurance background is required, including the Intelligence Community assessment and authorization process (ICD-503), Special Access Programs (JSIG) and DoD collateral (NISPOM and DAAPM) processes.
The teams perform assessments of systems and networks within the networking environment, or enclave, and will identify where those systems and/or networks deviate from the acceptable configuration, enclave policy, or local policy. This is achieved through passive evaluations, such as compliance audits, as well as active evaluations like vulnerability assessments.
This position performs direct program support (70%) and provides managementoversight for the teams (30%). The role will ensure compliance and achieve and maintain formal authorizations from government agencies. Ensures themanagement / coordination with classified programs on the design, testing, andimplementing of state-of-the-art secure operating systems, networks, databaseproducts, firewalls, and network architectures to meet government classified information system compliance requirements.
The successful candidate will establish an inclusive culture within a diverseenvironment, and will be responsible for the following:
  • Perform as a working manager and as an Information Systems Security Officer/Manager (when needed)
  • Manage a small team of Cyber Information Systems Security Officers Professionals
  • Effective team management to include fostering individual development, performance management, open communication, financial management, and utilization
  • Ensure strict program control processes to ensure mitigation of risks and support obtaining formal Assessment & Authorization of systems
  • Assist in the implementation of the required government policy (i.e. DAAPM, JSIG, and primarily ICD-503)
  • Support the formal Security Assessment process required by the company or government customer
  • Regular and routine communication with key stakeholders including, program management teams, the Information Technology Organization, Industrial Security, internal and external customers 
  • Assist in the staffing process to include interviewing and selection of new employees

Basic Qualifications: 
  • Master's degree with 3 years of Information Systems Security/Assurance experience; OR a Bachelor's degree with 5 years of Information Systems Security/Assurance experience is required
  • Must have work experience in one of the following three areas: National Industrial Security Program (NISP), Department of Defense Special Access Programs (DoD SAP), Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) programs
  • Must have a current DoD 8570 IAM Level III security certification (examples: CISSP, GSLC, or CISM)
  • Must have project management experience, or must have previous experience managing, supervising, directing, or leading individuals 
  • Candidates must have a current DOD Top Secret level security clearance with SCI access eligibility based on a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) completed within the last 6 years in order to be considered
  • Must have the ability to obtain, and maintain, access to Special Programs as a condition of continued employment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • The ideal candidate will have a Master's Degree in Cyber Security, Information Security, or similar STEM related discipline, to include 10 years of ISSO/ISSM experience with RMF
  • In-depth knowledge of the Intelligence Community assessment and authorization process (ICD-503)
  • Prior experience in a leadership or management role
  • Diverse classified information systems security / information assurance background
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Prior experience communicating with both Program and Division senior leadership
  • Active Top Secret with SCI clearance, with CI Poly
