Aeronautics Systems sector is seeking a Supply Chain Logistics Specialist or Principal Supply Chain Logistics Specialist to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position is located in Palmdale, CA.
1st shift, 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off!
Role and Responsibilities:
We are currently seeking a candidate that will be responsible for coordinating the delivery of incoming and outgoing material and company hardware. They will support central stores/warehousing of program and/or company-acquired material and packaging and shipping services. They will be responsible for the coordination and execution of NG transportation deliveries both long and short haul.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for the receipt, delivery and inspection of incoming material, central stores/warehousing of program and/or company-acquired material and packaging and shipping services.
- Provides packaging engineering support, special container design, packaging estimates and format quotes.
- Ensures the retention of material and supplies for future use and in support of production and/or engineering.
- Responsible for the accountability and accuracy of physical records.
- Provides transportation of material and correspondence within the local Northrop Grumman business environment.
- Maintains functional records in support of internal and external audits to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Manages, develops or carries out delivery in accordance with local established business policies, procedures and public law.
- Ensures accuracy of delivery information.
- Ensures: finished goods inventories, non-proprietary government property inventory, transportation, import/export requirements, and customer returns in conjunction with business area personnel.
Basic Qualifications (Supply Chain Logistics Specialist):
- Bachelors Degree with 3 years of logistics or related field experience or a Masters Degree with 1 year of logistics or related field experience.
- A high school diploma/equivalent with 7 years of logistics related field experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Valid driver's license
- Must have an active DOD Secret Security Clearance (to apply/start).
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Special Program Access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs (after starting)
- U.S. Citizenship is required.

- Bachelors Degree with 6 years of logistics or related field experience or a Masters Degree with 4 years of logistics or related field experience.
- A high school diploma/equivalent with 10 years of logistics related field experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Valid driver's license
- Must have an active DOD Secret Security Clearance (to apply/start).
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Special Program Access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs (after starting)
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Forklift and Crane operation experience
- Current Special Program Access
