Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Material Distribution Manager 3. This position will be located in Ogden, UT and will support the Sentinel (GBSD) program.
Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force’s sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities and associated infrastructure.
What you will get to do:
The selected individual will have overall management responsibility of the warehouse and material distribution operations for the division. Responsible for managing teams across multiple sites and supporting multiple programs.
Additional responsibilities include:
Responsible for the direct supervision/management of the staff. Providing objective-oriented direction to subordinates utilizing management guidelines & general policies. Responsibilities include planning and performance addressing cost, schedule, and quality of the warehouse and distribution operations.
Ensure the warehouse and material distribution operates at peak efficiency, with customer satisfaction and compliance being the primary goal, by supervising, organizing, directing, and training warehouse employees and establishing, monitoring, and managing operation goals.
Adheres to budget requirements and works towards obtaining and meet warehouse and distribution objectives and operations goals.
Lead and grow a team of high performing material distribution personnel. Build the team by providing opportunities for growth and development.
Establishes the strategy for operational growth. Serves as the project leader for site building implementation, consolidations, and closures.
Lead and provide oversight to the day-to-day operations for the SDS Division KDC (Kitting & Distribution Center) operations in Ogden, UT.
Develop warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements, equipment utilization, inventory management, shipping and receiving.
Oversees projects and task assigned to the organizational group performed by non-exempt and/or exempt employees. Becomes involved only when required to assist in meeting schedules or to resolve technical or operational problems. May accomplish results through lower level supervisor or exempt employees.
Establishes and executes department policies and procedures. Recommends and modify operating policies, as required.
Functions as an advisor to the team regarding tasks, projects, and operations. Becomes actively involved in daily operations only when required to meet schedules or to resolve complex problems.
Frequent contacts with internal personnel and outside customer representatives at various management levels concerning operations or scheduling or specific phases of projects or contracts. Conducts briefings and participates in technical meetings for internal external representatives concerning specifics operations.

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and 8 years of experience; 6 years with a Masters.
Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret clearance with an in-scope investigation date within the last 6 years.
3 years of formal management experience to include performance reviews for direct reports.
5 years prior experience leading a team, projects, and processes; ability to lead and motivate others to mentor and ensure others meet complex objectives.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in a Supply Chain Management.
In-depth knowledge/experience managing kitting requirements.
Extensive experience in inventory control, stock transfer, and movement of items through the supply chain infrastructure.
Extensive knowledge of storing and managing inventory with shelf-life requirements and tight environmental controls.
Experience working on classified programs in logistics and distribution.
Ability to work across disciplines to influence change to improve operational efficiency.
Ability to successfully manage multiple competing priorities.
Experience supporting complex shipping and logistical requirements.
Demonstrated ability to lead safety initiatives to drive a culture of a safety-first environment.
High degree of creativity and ability to solve a wide range of problems.
Proficiency in SAP enterprise resource planning software.
Basic computer skills, including MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Project).
