Northrop Grumman’s Missions Systems sector is seeking a GSC Program Manager, Level 3 to support the Columbia Machinery Program located in our Sunnyvale, CA facility. This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule out of our Sunnyvale facility.
What You’ll get to Do:
Support the Columbia Program team as a Senior GSC Program Manager for programs supporting production of the Columbia propulsion and power generation hardware. The primary objective will be the delivery of all contractual requirements on cost and on schedule, while achieving all technical requirements and creating customer intimacy to support value creation strategies and actions. Responsibilities also include leading a team of GSC Program Managers and working cross-functionally within Global Supply Chain and other functional departments to achieve cost, technical and schedule performance. Work on risk management and the uncertainties of production startups and drive quick resolution to issues to meet program objectives. Travel is occasionally required to support technical reviews, meetings, and working groups.
Senior GSC Program Managers are responsible for leading all phases of the supply chain life cycle from inception (proposal development) through startup, execution, and completion (contract closeout) and include, but not limited to:
- Responsible and accountable for the strategy, planning, and execution of all material and services content for a collection of Programs.
- Acts as the main focal point for the Program Management Office (PMO) for the entire supply chain and coordinates cross-functionally to ensure that all supply chain commitments are met, and that appropriate mitigation plans are developed and executed to address any programmatic risks related to suppliers.
- Develops the material strategy and leads the activities for GSC in all phases of the Business Acquisition Process (BAP).
- Ensures that prior to program execution, all elements of the proposed program(s) plans have complete and accurate schedules, budgets, make/buy plans, and procurement and subcontracts strategies.
- Leads supply chain Program execution and is accountable for resource planning, material cost, forecasting, schedule performance, risk/opportunity management, supplier performance, and supply chain issue resolution.
- Briefs the PMO and executive management on the status and issues affecting Program cost and schedule performance.
- Development and adherence to budget baselines utilizing Earned Value Management (EVM) or similar cost & schedule control methodologies and tools.
- Identifying, allocating and managing team resources, including workforce planning
- Conducting thorough risk & opportunity management practices including identification, mitigation and realization
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum of 9 years’ relevant experience (7 years with a Masters) in manufacturing/operations, supply chain, business, or program management
- Minimum of 3 years in a formal lead/management position
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
- Advanced knowledge of supply chain management techniques, practices, processes, tools, and planning.
- Strong strategic, innovative, and critical thinking skills
- Proficiency in MS Office suite
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with the 3 Element Approach to Supplier Performance Management
- High proficiency with SAP, particularly Supply Chain/MRP transactions
- Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, macros, advanced formulas and building reports
- Experience and/or knowledge in a manufacturing environment
