Analyzes manufacturing, enterprise resource planning, and other material requirements based on needs of assembly demands, component replenishments, substitute parts or materials, production set ups, engineering changes and enterprise supplies. Resolves schedule, material requirement or business system problems with cross-functional representatives. Approves part or material requisitions and initiates production and purchase change orders. Resolves master schedules and productions problems and negotiates lead times.
Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for you to join our Marine Systems team as a Manager Materials Requirements Planning 2 based out of Sunnyvale, CA. Northrop Grumman Marine Systems specializes in the development, manufacture, assembly and testing of missile launching and handling systems, propulsion, and power generation systems for naval surface ships and submarines.
What you’ll get to do:
Responsible for the direct supervision/management of the MRP Planners and Analysts for the Material Requirement Planning (MRP) Team, providing objective-oriented direction to subordinates utilizing management guidelines & general policies
Utilize SAP processes for loading authorized demand, releasing purchase requisitions, supporting Order BOM and Manufacturing BOM creation and changes
Maintain Lead Time Capacity planning processes consisting of analyzing manufacturing floor requirements and resource planning based on the aligned manufacturing cell utilization
Interact with cross-functional leadership in shop floor management, manufacturing engineering, operations program management, and quality assurance
Possess full working knowledge of MRP procedures and practices related to maintenance of valid time-phased demand, accurate BOMs, and properly implemented revision notices/engineering change orders
Drive adherence to schedules with on-time material requisitions and in support of manufacturing execution throughput
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree with 9+ years of related experience; Master's Degree with 7+ years of related experience
Proven manufacturing systems and leadership experience.
Experience with SAP MRP
Preferred Qualifications:
Production experience in a heavy fabrication and machining environment
Experience in low-volume, high-mix manufacturing
Experience capacity planning in a bottleneck constrained environment
APICS CPIM Certification
PMP or Project Management Certification training
