Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Quality Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse professionals. 

What you’ll get to do: 

The Quality Analyst/Principal Quality Analyst for the LCCBU Production and Deployment program is responsible for the inspection and approval of demolition and deployment tasks necessary to install new components in support of the Minuteman ICBM mission.  In addition, Quality Analyst will work in the warehouse inspecting support activities when not inspecting activities related to installation at a Launch Control Center.  A Quality Analyst will support receiving, inventory control, warehouse activities, component assembly activities and pre deployment activities when not inspecting installation efforts.

•    Ensuring that performance and quality products conform to established company and regulatory standards
•    Reviewing, analyzing, and reporting on quality discrepancies related to assembly, installation, process, mechanical, electrical and electro-mechanical systems
•    Investigating problems and developing disposition and corrective actions for recurring discrepancies
•    Interfacing with manufacturing, installation, engineering, quality engineering, and customer representatives to ensure requirements are met
•    Directly supporting Installation and Assembly activities requiring verification of compliance to program requirements
•    Inspecting purchased parts and materials for conformity to standards, specifications, and processing requirements
•    Inspecting for proper identity and dimensions using such measuring devices as micrometers, gauges, and calipers
•    Visually inspecting for obvious defects
•    Verifying specifications using purchase orders, blueprints, drawing or inspection instructions, and checklists
•    For Installation and Assembly support, using predetermined methods, operations, setups and prescribed specifications to visually inspect in-process and completed assemblies and installation, such as electronic units and subsystems, precision electromechanical assemblies or mechanical units, and subassemblies, for structural flaws, internal defects, installation errors and missing components
•    Works from blueprints, diagrams, customer specifications, drawing or inspection instructions and checklists. .
•    Documents findings not meeting requirements of Work Order, Engineering documentation and applicable standards

This requisition may be filled at either a Quality Analyst level or a Principal Quality Analyst level.

•    Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline and 3 years experience, or Associate’s Degree and 5 years experience,, or High School Diploma and 7 years experience (Principal Quality Analyst: 6 years with a Bachelor’s degree, 8 years with Associates Degree, or 10 years with High School Diploma)
•    Experience in high-reliability field such as aerospace, space flight, medical etc.
•    Experience in removal, replacement, repair and assembly environment
•    Experience building, testing, and/or inspecting electronic, mechanical, or electromechanical components
•    Demonstrated experience with MS Office suite of tools (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
•    US Citizenship and must hold an active SECRET security clearance

These qualifications would be nice to have: 

•    Active Top Secret Security Clearance
•    Demonstrated aptitude with Electro-Mechanical systems, age sensitive materials, HVAC systems, ICBM missile security systems, etc.
•    5+ years of ICBM experience
•    CPR, adult first aid certification

 

Salary Range: $55,800 USD - $83,600 USD

Salary Range 2: $66,600 USD - $103,000 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
