Job Description
Installs and troubleshoots avionics systems wiring in aircraft in accordance with technical specifications, engineering instructions, and FAA regulations. Fabricates, installs and tests installation, routing, clamping and wiring harnesses. Reads wiring diagrams and blueprints.
ALQ-218 and Data Analysis. Responsible for the analysis of ALQ-218 performance and responding to issues related to ALQ-218 hardware and software operations. In addition, this position is responsible for the overall data analysis tool used by the program office to gauge AEA performance. During ALQ-218 test flights, the person may be required to monitor operations via telemetry. They will have a need to use the NGC laptop for AEA software and debug issues.
The on-site individual may be requested to support another aircraft deploying to Pax River for specific testing (i.e. if EA-18G, EA-2 travels to Pax for testing in the ACETEF chamber). These other tasks will be as agreed to by on site NGC, Boeing and USN management as well as the de-conflicting and prioritizing of the primary test support functions. This individual shall be on permanent assignment at Patuxent River, MD.
Basic Qualifications:
- Candidate must have previous EA-18G Aircraft and Airborne Electronic Attack system experience (USN), Specific ALQ-218 system operations and data analysis. .
- Familiarity with Aircraft maintenance in accordance with COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2 (series).
- Candidate shall have a minimum of 4 years experience at the E-5 equivalent or above level within the Avionics specialty on EA-18G aircraft. This experience should have been within the last 3 years.
- Must be available to travel occasionally.
- High School diploma or equivalent required with 6 years experience.
- Should have current SF-86 and possess at least a secret clearance prior to day-1 of employment.
- Possess the ability to work independently with little to no supervision.
- Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Recent Operational flight test technical support experience a plus especially familiarity with ACETEF chamber operations.
This position reports to Hollywood, MD, USA, however, this position can also be worked from Patuxent River, MD, USA.
