Northrop Grumman Space Systems, Launch & Missile Defense Systems (LMDS) Division is seeking a Business Development (BD) Manager 3 (M3) for our Missile Defense Solutions (MDS) Business Unit (BU).  Preferred location is Huntsville, AL or Colorado Springs, CO. The BD Manager will lead business development activity relative to Missile Defense and Space related opportunities with a primary focus on the Missile Defense Agency (MDA). This position will work closely with a team of functional and program professionals, as well as other industry and government partners. The ideal candidate will have the followings:

  • Understanding of missile defense marketplace, stakeholder customer organizations and budgets in order to develop market trends and strategies.
  • Developing and executing business development plans to include customer engagement, analysis of future customer requirements, pipeline management and growth.
  • Coordinating and collaborating with line of business management, strategy, business and finance, contracts and global supply chain, technology and engineering offices and functions.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university.
  • 9+ years' experience with customer management, capture, and/or business development.
  • 5+ years’ experience in a management/leadership role.
  • Knowledge and experience with missile defense and/or aerospace systems.
  • Knowledge of the DoD acquisition processes.
  • Current/active Secret security clearance. US Citizenship is a prerequisite

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM).
  • Proven experience with missile defense operations and/or business development.
  • Experience leading and managing geographically dispersed teams.
  • Experience in program planning, budget development and execution, contracting, workforce staffing, risk management, and the implementation of project processes and controls.
  • Current/active Top Secret security clearance. US Citizenship is a prerequisite.

Salary Range: $150,960 USD - $226,440 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
