Northrop Grumman Defense Systems sector is seeking a Contract Administrator Manager 2 to join its team of qualified and diverse individuals supporting its Combat Systems and Mission Readiness (CSMR) Division as Business Unit Contracts Operations Manager.  The successful candidate will work closely on a day-to-day basis with the leadership at a Business Unit, and Operating Unit level, as well as directly with Contract Professionals.  The position may be located in Huntsville, Alabama, or may be fully remote.

As the Business Unit Contracts Operation Manager, the successful candidate will:

  • Monitor opportunity pipeline and ensure early Contracts support, strategy and engagement with leadership.
  • Partner with Business Management to ensure accurate financial forecasting.
  • Manage the Contracts and Property Business Unit budget.
  • Be responsible for the direct supervision and management of contract administration staff.
  • Lead key capture and proposal activities.
  • Support special projects, as assigned.
  • Monitor and enforce SOX compliance.
  • Offer guidance and work cooperatively with the Operating Unit Contracts managers and their teams. 
  • Serve as a role model for diversity and inclusion through including diverse opinions and perspectives, including the ability to solve complex problems by actively seeking information and new ideas from a variety of sources.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution with 7+ years of relevant experience or Master Degree with 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge and understanding of pricing principles and FAR/DFARS as well as associated Federal Contracting regulations.
  • Advanced proposal strategy and contract formation experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience or supervisor experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Northrop Grumman Contracts processes and procedures.
  • Active DoD Secret level security clearance. 

Salary Range: $107,800 USD - $161,800 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
