Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking an Operational Command and Control Deputy PM, Ops and Integration Manager 3 to work in Huntsville, AL for the Operational Control and Command (OC2) sub-IPT, in support of the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program.

What You’ll Get To Do: 

Manage the efforts of the Operational Command and Control (OC2) Team as Deputy Program Manager to include organizing, prioritizing, and assigning tasks. Responsible for managing technical, schedule, cost, and resources. This includes identifying and addressing program risks to ensure team success, mentoring staff in problem solving, facilitating technical solutions, providing staff with the appropriate resources to solve problems, tracking Program and Department schedules, working to identify key parameters and metrics to increase efficiency and reduce Program costs, plan manpower requirements, and performing quarterly and annual performance reviews of staff. Will provide direction and guidance for the OC2 Management Team, perform a variety of specific professional engineering tasks. Apply theoretical knowledge and engineering techniques to the solution of basic analytical engineering problems. Candidate must be able to provide direction and address issues using skills obtained in the field of Systems Engineering to generate model and architecture products for the development and maturation of software and hardware requirements for key OC2 CI and CSCI items for GBSD.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM-related field of study and 8 years of related experience
  • Minimum of 3 years in a formal lead/management position
  • Active Secret Clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret clearance
  • Experience with Systems and Software Engineering development process

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Active Top Secret Clearance
  • Strong Communications Skills, both verbal and written; and ability to read and understand technical requirements documents
  • Experience with the development of modeling and architecture requirements for Configured Items (CI) and Computer Software Configuration Items (CSCI).
  • Experience in the Systems Engineering “Vee” processes, including both developing and managing the development of engineering documentation (Requirements Specifications and Design Documents)
  • Applying critical skills thinking when solving complex problems
  • Experience developing and presenting the requirements and design at the formal customer review meetings, such as SRR, PDR, and CDR
  • Understanding of capturing and documenting hardware and software requirements within an MBSE environment
  • Experience with CAMEO
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment

Salary Range: $155,400 USD - $233,200 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
