Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (NGDS) is looking for you to join our team as an Associate Software Engineer /Software Engineer based out of Huntsville, Alabama on the Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) Battle Command System (IBCS) Poland contract, a US Army foreign military sale to Poland for its medium-range air and missile defense program. IBCS integrates disparate radars and weapons to construct a far more effective IAMD enterprise. IBCS delivers a single integrated air picture with unprecedented accuracy and broadens surveillance and protection areas. By implementing IBCS, Poland will transform its IAMD capabilities in a manner consistent with the U.S. Army.

As an Associate Software Engineer on the Poland program you will:

  • Design, develop, document, test and debug application software and special data processing systems
  • Candidate will participate in designing code solutions while working as part of a small team. Teams are comprised of other software engineers of various experience levels.
  • Familiarity or experience with Agile software development methodologies, i.e. Scrum, Kanban, SAFe
  • Experience in Linux/Unix environments at command line interface
  • Experience with Java

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in a STEM related field and a minimum of 0-1 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience developing testing criteria to satisfy requirements
  • Experience with shell and/or python scripting
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active DoD Secret Clearance
  • Exposure to all parts of the Software Engineering Lifecycle
  • Experience in Linux environment
  • Experience writing automated tests
  • Experience in Agile team environment
  • Security+ certification
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Salary Range: $65,000 USD - $80,000 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
