Join Northrop Grumman on our continued mission to push the boundaries of possible across Join Northrop Grumman and become part of Northrop Grumman's C4 Missile Defense Engineering Leadership team.  C4 Missile Defense Business Unit is part of the Combat Systems Mission Readiness Division which protects and secures our global citizens through the development of integrated net-enabled command and control and training systems and solutions that defend against air missile threats, enhance situational awareness, and prepare for the mission.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Perform Functional Management tasks for employees as an effective collaborator, communicator and problem solver who is able to develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to ethics and integrity, and the capability to innovate while challenging the traditional ways of doing business.  
  • Drive agility and operational efficiency in Systems Engineering, Integration and Test processes and tools.
  • Attract, develop, advise, assess, promote, and retain highly qualified engineering workforce.  
  • This position is a dual role encompassing both functional management and technical performance.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's of Science Degree and at least 5 years of technical experience in any combination of Cyber engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Integration and Test engineering. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree
  • Active Secret Clearance investigated within the last 5 years.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated leadership and managerial skills including team building and navigation, personal and career development, technical and inter-personal problem resolution, work planning and allocation.
  • Prior experience in delivery of US Army air defense command and control systems.  
  • Proven technical management experience preferably in either program IPT, R&D or Advanced Systems, technology, and/ or functional environments.
  • Demonstrated behavior as a driver for change and continuous improvement.
  • Previous Functional Management Experience
  • The candidate has a technical performance role currently in place within the Defense Sector that can account for approximately 80% of their time.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.  
  • High proficiency in technical problem solving to include decomposition, root cause analysis, solution development, implementation and monitoring.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management.

Salary Range: $108,000 USD - $163,000 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
