The GBSD program is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer.  The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Space System team supporting the Air Force’s Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program, working as part of the Operational Command & Control team. This position will be located in Huntsville, AL and will support the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program.  Learn more about the GBSD program here. This position requires travel up to 10% of the time. What You’ll Get To Do: The selected candidate will work in a dynamic people-focused environment where he/she will interact with users, customers and other engineers. The successful applicant will:

• Research, plan, design, analyze and test electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks
• Design electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems
• Preparation and presentation of reports, briefings, design documents (drawings and specifications) and interface with customers.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. UTSpace

Job Qualifications: You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

• Bachelors of Science degree in a STEM(Science, Technology, Engineering, math) and 5 years of experience, or 3 years with Master’s Degree in a STEM(Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline; or 0 years with a PhD.
• Active Secret Clearance (investigated within the past 6 years)
• Experience designing and analyzing analog and power circuitry, including switches and control relays
• Experience creating electrical schematics and physical layouts
• Experience developing and performing verification plans, test procedures and verification metrics

These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have:

• Experience with Subcontractor Management
• Experience with DOORS requirements management tool
• Experience with Mentor Graphics Tools
• Experience preparing for and participating in design reviews
