Explore your future and launch your career today.   Northrop Grumman is seeking an Associate Supply Chain Subcontract Specialist, to join its team of qualified, diverse professionals engaged in supporting large, complex, and challenging national defense programs that secure our nation and its allies. The successful applicant will become a part of Northrop Grumman’s Launch & Missile Defense Systems Division.   We are seeking a highly motivated individual to act as trusted advisor for subcontracting actions on a range of contractual issues. The successful candidate will demonstrate the skill and ability to develop solutions to problems and be able to communicate effectively. The candidate must possess knowledge of Federal Government contracting regulations and best practices.   Under the supervision of the Global Supply Chain manager/team, responsibilities will encompass the full range of the subcontract acquisition process including preparing requests for proposals consistent with customer solicitations, federal statutes and regulations, and US laws; evaluating proposal submissions; developing negotiation plans; preparing post negotiation documentation; and preparing subcontract files in compliance with Northrop Grumman policies and procedures. The ability to collaborate with executive program management and other multi-functional teams is required.   The successful candidate must be able to make sound decisions in a timely manner, display strong interpersonal skills, and have knowledge of the FAR and DFARs in a Government Contracting environment.   Under the supervision of the Global Supply Chain manager/team, the successful candidate will assist with subcontract specifications, work statements, and terms and conditions for the procurement of specialized materials, equipment, and services. Under the supervision of the Global Supply Chain manager/team, the candidate will be required to analyze and evaluate proposals, negotiate subcontract provisions, select or recommend subcontractors, write subcontract awards, and administer resulting subcontracts. The candidate will also negotiate and coordinate additions, deletions, or modifications to subcontracts.   - Travel will be required (less than 5%)   As a full-time employee of Northrop Grumman Space Systems, you are eligible for our robust benefits package including:

• Employee Discounts    This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.     SpaceGSC  

Basic Qualifications: - BS/BA degree with 0 years of experience; or AA degree with 2 years of subcontract, procurement and/or supply chain administration experience. - In lieu of a BS/BA degree, 4 years of subcontract and/or supply chain administration and supplier management experience. - Basic understanding of procurement policies, procedures, and regulations are essential - The ability to work well in team environments - Strong organizational, written and oral communication skills - Ability to apply sound judgment to problem solving - Must be eligible for DoD Secret Security Clearance   Preferred Qualifications: - Working knowledge of SAP - BS/BA degree in Supply Chain Management or Supply Chain & Logistics - Active DoD Secret Security Clearance - Experience with and/or a basic working knowledge of Prime flowdown analysis
