NG is a strategic partner on the Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD) program.

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal Process Improvement Analyst to support the GMD Development and Sustainment Contract (DSC) Program Effectiveness Management team by assisting with continuous improvement projects across the program. The Process Improvement Analyst
  • Defines, designs and implements continuous improvement projects to ensure that the Program is integrated vertically and horizontally
  • Leads the program’s Engineering Processes Working Group
  • Conducts gap analysis assessments and organizes process tailoring activities to ensure program level procedures are aligned with customer and company policies and requirements
  • Works across the program to ensure effective processes are in place to meet program goals (quality and cost); 
  • Reviews all program procedures and plans for accuracy, compliance and synchronicity with associated program and organizational processes
  • Provides training on Process Assets and Quality Management System
  • Initiates, guides and analyzes improvement plans and potential results
  • Facilitates and coaches improvement teams
  • Works with program procedure authors and the Engineering Processes Working Group to ensure that as processes change, program personnel are aware of the updated process, any associated impacts and when necessary, training is coordinated and provided to affected stakeholders
  • Engages with engineering teams to identify and refine Agile processes
  • Identifies potential process risks and works with authors and teams to ensure internal deviation processes are followed and proactively vetted 
  • Works alongside the Mission Assurance organization to ensure outputs of internal and external process audits and recorded lessons learned are evaluated for process impacts and action plans are in place to successfully resolve non-conformances, opportunities for improvement and/or process gaps in a timely manner
  • Supports/leads external compliance audits/appraisals (e.g., AS9100, CMMI, Customer)
  • Develops and presents process management briefings to program leadership as required

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of relevant experience or Master’s Degree and 4 years of relevant experience. 4 additional years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance
  • Proven experience in implementing and leading process improvements
  • Ability to convert documented processes into training tools
  • Familiarity of the AS9100 standard and experience directly supporting audits/appraisals
  • Experience briefing senior leadership; strong communication and organization skills
  • Familiarity with Engineering and Agile processes
  • SharePoint exposure
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience leading and motivating individuals and teams in a Process Management or Mission Assurance role
  • Able to develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to identify areas of improvement and work with teams to identify solutions
  • Experience in determining root case and corrective action
  • Experience assisting with internal and external audits and assessments
