Northrop Grumman is seeking an U041 Inspector for our location in Independence, MO.

This Position is a Union role and is paid: $24.55

Description:

1. Actively pursues certification to advance to Certified Acceptance Audit Inspector.
2. Picks up samples of solutions, components, and cartridges. Prepares samples for visual and gage inspections, testing, quality audits and acceptance. Records results and makes distribution to various area making sure that all forms/records are correct and samples are kept segregated, where necessary.
3. Witnesses detection equipment and performs inspections, test, audits and acceptances in accordance with the appropriate approved Acceptance Quality Plan, PCT’s, SOP’s MilSpecs, drawings and Standard Practices to determine if product meets specifications.
4. May operate equipment such as Tukon, Rockwell, milling, polishing wheel, simplex gaging machines, weigh scales, band saw, and jolt and jumble test machine, vacuum (leak test) and other associated equipment. May be required to perform inspections in various buildings as assigned.
5. Maintains equipment and work area in a clean and safe condition.
6. Obeys safety rules and regulations and wears proper safety equipment.
7. May use drying ovens, balance and scientific calculator to determine primer mix moistures.
8. Uses desktop computer for acceptance functions and communicating test results.
9. May use conductivity tester and laser etcher on conductive containers/spatulas.
10. Performs other job duties as assigned.

Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
