Northrop Grumman is seeking a Sr. Principal Cyber System Administrator to join our team. The position is onsite and based at a facility in Fairfax, VA.
This role is for a Lead System Administrator who will provide technical solutions to difficult System Administration and hardware problems, including assisting development and maintenance of internal and operational infrastructure, on-site installations, system training support, and maintaining strong working relationships with mission partners. The right applicant will be a team player among a diverse group of employees and this opportunity will be a great learning and growing position in supporting and leading technical SA tasks, program sustainment, system training, and cyber security support.

This position will need to support after-hours and weekends as needed. The typical work schedule is flexible and can accommodate either a 9/80 schedule allowing employees to work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday and take every other Friday off, or a standard work week consisting of 5 8-hour days making up 40-hour weeks.
Basic Qualifications
9 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree; 7 years of relevant experience with a Master’s degree; 4 years of relevant experience with a Ph.D.; 13 or more years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
Must have current/active DoD Top Secret/SCI with SSBI clearance or higher to be considered (**US citizenship required)
Must be willing to submit and obtain a Counterintelligence Polygraph (CI-Poly) upon hire
Current DOD 8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification (example: Security+ CE); OR must have the ability to obtain one within 6 months of start date
Experience with Linux server administration
Experience with Windows server administration
Strong communication skills

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s or higher degree in a STEM-related discipline
Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) server administration in an SCI-classified environment
Experience operating under and managing systems within NISPOM Chapter 8, DCID 6/3-ICD 503, RMF, STIG, JAFAN, or JSIG information system environments
Experience hardening Linux systems in accordance with RMF and STIGs
Experience Identity Management (Single Sign-On)
Experience with host-based firewall implementations and configuration (Redhat “iptables”)
Experience with: Windows (7, 10) administration; Windows Server; Group Policies (GPOs); Active Directory management
Solid writing skills and use of Wiki pages and Sharepoint sites for documentation
DoD 8570 Certification in a primary OS (Windows, Linux, Cisco)
Currently valid Security+ CE, CASP, CISSP, or similar security certification
