This position will be located in Redondo Beach, California.
The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Space programs that provides specialized IT support to Restricted, DOD, and Unclassified environments. This position requires knowledge and adherence to Information Assurance processes and procedures per NG InfoSec and program security.

The roles and responsibilities of this position include:
- Administration of Linux (RHEL/CENTOS) 6/7/8/9 servers and workstations
- Installing, configuring, troubleshooting Linux operating systems
- Installing, configuring, and supporting Linux applications
- Experience using Compliance and Remediation tools (i.e., Nessus, SCC SCAP scanner, STIG Viewer)
- On call, 24/7 pager support during critical phases of testing, contingency operations and off-site as required.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
Basic Qualifications:
- 0 Years with a bachelor's in science from an accredited institution
- Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)
- Must be able to obtain, at least ONE of the following U.S. Government security clearances:
- Dept. of Defense Top Secret level with a background investigation date within 6 years
- OR SCI access with a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) completed within 5 years.
Level 2:
- 2 Years with a bachelor's in science from an accredited institution, 0 years with a Masters
- Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)
- Must be able to obtain, at least ONE of the following U.S. Government security clearances:
- Dept. of Defense Top Secret level with a background investigation date within 6 years
- OR SCI access with a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) completed within 5 years.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active SCI Clearance
- Meets DOD IAT requirements for security certs or be in the process of obtaining one. (i.e., CISSP, Security+ certification)
- Solid understanding of computer networking (OS configuration, Network switches, Firewalls, CISCO IOS)
- Performing Backups and Restores using COTS and Open-Source tools to implement a disaster recovery plan (Windows and Linux)
- Implementation of CMMC/DFARS/RMF/DOD Security Controls on Linux and Windows operating systems (i.e., Windows SHB and RHEL SSG builds)
- Installing, configuring, and operating VMWare and KVM virtualization environments
- Building, deploying, configuring, and troubleshooting IT systems hardware (i.e., Workstations, Servers, Storage appliances, network switches, rack & stack)
- Familiarity with DevSecOps tools and practices (i.e., Configuration Management, Atlassian Tool Suite, etc.)
- Working experience with scripting languages and automation, such as bash, ansible, and/or powershell
- Experienced with SAN/NAS hardware ( i.e Netapp, Linux and Windows file servers, storage appliances)
