Northrop Grumman’s Corporate enterprise platform organization is seeking a skilled ServiceNow Software Developer to support the strategy and capabilities of our Next Gen ServiceNow Technology team. In this position, you will become part of a team of experts supporting our ServiceNow platform that is delivering intuitive, consumer-centric, industry leading, and secure solutions. You will build and code applications and/or modules within the ServiceNow framework, compile technical documentation, and analyze system capabilities to identify output requirements, data import requirements and programming techniques. You will need to be a self-starter who can work in an agile environment focused on innovative service delivery. Your excellent technical, communication, and collaboration skills will be utilized as you work with passionate, motivated individuals across the enterprise.
This is a remote/virtual position. This could change, based on business conditions.
Responsibilities of the successful candidate include, but are not limited to:
- Designing, developing, and deploying ServiceNow solutions in support of enterprise initiatives
- Modifying maintaining, and modernizing existing ServiceNow solutions
- Demonstrating proficiency with workflow automation, User Interface (UI) policies, data polices, actions, business rules and client scripts
- Mentoring, training, and demonstrating to other professionals, as required
- Collaborating with product owners and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Using various communication channels and software to interact with virtual customers and development teams
- Creating technical documentation of software changes
- Performing emergency on-call duties
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline (4 years of additional relevant work experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree) with a minimum of 2 years of related experience
- at least 2 years of ServiceNow development experience using ServiceNow’s App Engine to create applications and digital workflows
- Proficient in the development of technical solutions such as JavaScript, Python, or PowerShell
- Understanding of SQL database connections, object structures and queries
- Ability to research new technologies for solution creation
- Self-motivated, creative problem-solver who can adapt to new technologies and evolving customer requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Solid organizational skills; ability to juggle multiple assignments and manage changing priorities
- Great attention to detail and strong conceptual, analytical, and planning skills
- Capable of working independently as well as in a team and cross-team environment
- Ability to travel, on occasion, to support different locations
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ServiceNow’s Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) module
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer
- Experience with Object Oriented Programming
- Understanding of general networking principles
- Cloud architecture and integration
- Experience with SAFe Agile methodology
