We are seeking a cleared or clearable Computer Systems Architect for a critical role in our engineering organization designing, maintaining, and supporting our engineering development systems. This position comes with periodic overtime pay, the ability to work occasionally from home and a flexible work schedule.
This position is part of a team that delivers and maintains computer systems and networks supporting engineering development for technically advanced development programs producing cutting edge hardware and software products. These products support all domains of intelligence and defense battle spaces including land, sea, air, cyber, and space. Many of the problem-sets our customers expect us to solve do not have known solutions, so ingenuity is essential.
To excel in this role, you will have breadth of knowledge in multiple aspects of computer systems including DevSecOps, Automation, and Virtualization as well as depth in one or more of these areas. Less experienced candidates demonstrating high technological aptitude with a willingness and desire to learn are equally qualified for this position.
Your primary responsibilities include:
Administration and deployment of VMware environments and storage appliances (i.e. NetApp or similar)
Installing, configuring, and supporting DevSecOps applications (GitHub, Ansible, Configuration Manager, Jenkins, etc)
Other team responsibilities include:
Administration of Windows workstations and servers (Win10, and Win2016/2019)
Administration of Linux (RHEL/CentOS/Debian/Ubuntu) servers and workstations
Administration of Networking equipment (Cisco switches, firewalls, or similar)
Installing, configuring, and supporting Communication/Administration applications (Exchange, Office, Mattermost, etc)
Use of Compliance and Remediation tools (i.e. Nessus, SCC SCAP Scanner, STIG Viewer)
This position can be filled at the Principal or Sr. Principal Level.
Basic Qualifications for Principal Level:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems or a related field of study with 5 years of experience or 9 years of experience in lieu of a degree
Experience administering VMware environments and storage appliances (e.g. NetApp or similar)
Experience with Installing, configuring, and supporting DevSecOps applications (GitHub, Ansible, Configuration Manager, Jenkins, etc)
Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance per business requirements
Basic Qualifications for Sr. Principal Level:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems or a related field of study with 9 years of experience or13 years of experience in lieu of a degree
Experience administering VMware environments and storage appliances (e.g. NetApp or similar)
Experience with Installing, configuring, and supporting DevSecOps applications (GitHub, Ansible, Configuration Manager, Jenkins, etc)
Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance per business requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
Active Top Secret/SCI Clearance
Experience administering Networking equipment (Cisco switches, firewalls, or similar)
Meets DOD 8570 IAT Level 2+ requirements for security certs or be in the process of obtaining one. (e.g. CISSP, Security+, CASP, etc.)
Performing Backups and Restores using COTS and Open Source tools to implement a disaster recovery plan
Implementation of CMMC/DFARS/RMF/DOD Security Controls
Building, deploying, configuring, and troubleshooting IT systems hardware (i.e. Workstations, Servers, Storage appliances, network switches, rack & stack)
Familiarity with database administration (e.g. MySQL, PostgreSQL, MSSQL, MongoDB)
Working experience with scripting languages and automation, such as Bash, Ansible, and/or PowerShell
Docker/Kubernetes experience
This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
