We are looking for you to join our team as a Systems Administrator based out of Chantilly, VA.
What to expect:
This individual must demonstrate an energetic approach to accomplishing tasks, and exhibit composure when working with external partners and team members.
Additionally, a qualified candidate will also support group customer management in organizing executive level meetings and delivering executive-level reports. Meeting preparation includes developing and coordinating the agendas, coordinating and compiling all briefing material, facilitating the conduct of the meeting, writing minutes and capturing and tracking action items. Extensive coordination, continuous communication, and flexibility are essential to successful execution of these tasks.

Roles & Responsibilities:
Maintain smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network, software, system engineers, project managers, and end users.
Perform as a Windows, VMware, and Linux\Red Hat System Administrator.
Participate in new installations, testing and special projects.
Utilize established operating procedures to collect, store, track, trend and report performance metrics.
Observe equipment and system software for messages or error indicators.
Work under minimal direction and independently determine and develop approach to solutions.
Perform control management accounting of all hardware, software, and documentation.
Support audits to verify that design meets requirements baselines.
Ensure that customer requirements are implemented, and reviews change accounting activity to ensure compliance with configuration management policies.
Assist with hardware and software inventory control.
Create and maintain user and computer accounts and modify file permissions and security access lists.
Manage backup infrastructure.
Review recommendations and system enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of the system including installing, upgrading/patching, monitoring, problem resolution, and configuration management.
Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and system documentation.
Test new releases of products to ensure compatibility and minimize user impact.
Basic Qualifications:
5 years of experience with BS Degree or 3 years of experience with MS Degree
Candidate must possess an active TS/SCI and must be willing to obtain a polygraph
Current IAT Level II certification (Security+ CE, SSCP, GSEC, CCNA-Security)
Experience managing Windows operating systems in a domain architecture
Must have experience installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining networks, servers, and workstations
Knowledge of Active directory and Group Policy
General understanding of Linux RHEL 8 operating system
Must be able to lift equipment containers weighing 50lb
Must be able to climb ladders up to two stories in height
Have familiarity with using Microsoft Suite (including Word, Excel and Outlook)
Preferred Qualifications:
Understanding of scripting languages.
Experience with VMware implementation, migration and maintenance.
Knowledge of environmental monitoring tools (HBSS/Elasticsearch/Splunk).
Understanding of backup solutions to include suites (Veeam/Nakivo/NetApp)
