This position will be in the Pathways rotational program where there will be three rotation opportunities within Business Management. Northrop Grumman is seeking Payroll Tax Accountant. This position will be located at our Employee Services Sector in Irving, TX. The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Payroll Tax Team in the Employee Services Group and will be assigned individual tasks to complete by working on their own.   Roles and Responsibilities Include:
  • Bi-weekly Audit reports for Payroll Taxes for New hires, Relocations and work location changes
  • Domestic Assignments Tax set ups
  • System Validations between CHR/Workday and SAP for resident and work location set ups
  • Assist with Quarterly Payroll Tax Reconciliations between SAP and ADP
  • Assist with GL Accounting Research on Payroll differences
  • Coding returned checks for deposit and GL postings 
  • Tracking and following up on refunds from tax jurisdictions.
  • Assisting in maintaining the federal, state and local quarterly payroll deductions to tax payment reconciliations 
  • Researching and responding to Case workflow email notices for employee work and home address combinations 

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or Tax
  • Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 or higher (unofficial academic transcripts must be provided at time of application by uploading the documents to your application or profile)
  • Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)
  • Strong Communication Skills
  • Strong Microsoft Excel Skills
  • Strong System Acumen  

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.70 out of 4.0 or higher
  • Good presentation and writing/communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, willing to learn, and interested in working in a team environment.
  • Experience in working in an autonomous work environment on complex projects.
