Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Maintenance Technician 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Iuka, Mississippi.

Role Description & Responsibilities:

Performs repairs and maintenance in plant or office facilities, or on machines and equipment. Typically performs work in one or more of the maintenance trades: carpentry, plumbing, painting, machine and equipment repair, electrical, sheet metal fabrication, and welding. Conducts routine, periodic, or special inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdowns of facilities, machinery, and equipment. Uses hand and power tools. Tests, inspects, troubleshoots, and repairs machines and equipment. Uses blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications.

The selected candidate will be required to work the 1st shift (730am-4am Mon-Fri) with the possibility of transitioning to a second shift within a year of employment and after site specific training. 

This role also includes on-call work on a rotating basis.

Job Duties:

  • Preform mechanical and or electrical troubleshooting on all equipment.  This is a multi-craft position with an Electrical/Controls primary strength.
  • Perform routine mechanical/electrical/electronic preventative maintenance on plant equipment including but not limited to CNC machines, Boilers, Fiber Placement Machines, Robotic arms,  Auto claves, Ovens, HVAC, General electrical and lighting, Air compressors, Hydraulic systems, Overhead Bridge Cranes. Personnel vehicles, etc.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent and 4+ years of experience working in the manufacturing or maintenance industry.
  • Strong computer (including Microsoft office), math, analytical, and planning skills.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience as a Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician
  • Strong electrical/electronics knowledge base
  • Technical Degree or some college.
  • Controls experience including box building and plc programming/troubleshooting
  • Experience working on and troubleshooting multi-axis automated machines
  • Experience with robotic arms and controls
  • Ability to operate a mill and lathe to assist with tooling needs
  • Signals and systems analysis (ultrasonic inspection systems)
  • Experience with FMMS systems and electronic work order tracking.

Salary Range: $44,600 USD - $74,400 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
