As we continue to build our talented workforce we look for professionals that exemplify our core values, leadership characteristics, and approach to innovation.     Job Description:We are currently seeking Aircraft Electrician Technicians (Casual Hires) to be part of our F/A - 18 team in Jacksonville. In this position you will perform troubleshooting, installation, operation, maintenance, modification and repair of the F / A-18 E/F systems. Ability to follow current policies and procedures as they provide the day to day shop floor operations. Ability to perform in extreme conditions, confided spaces during demanding aggressive schedules. Ability to demonstrate safe shop practices such as wearing proper protective equipment i.e. Safety Glasses, Safety Shoes and Bump Caps. (Face covering CDC Guidelines).                  Duties: 1. Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and testing on the Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA/APG-79) / Weapons Control / Electronics Counter Measures / Communications & Navigation systems of the F / A-18E/F aircraft. This includes the Maintenance Status Display Recording System, Weapons Control System, Advance Mission Computer System (AMC), Advance Targeting Forward Looking Infrared (ATFLIR), Multipurpose Display Group, Tactical Electronic Warfare System, Photographic System, Joint-Helmet Mounted Cueing System (JHMCS), Multifunctional Information Distribution System (MIDS), Infrared Search and Track (IRST) 2. Participate as part of the Integrated Weapons Team in performing weapons control checks and testing. 3. Support on-the-job training and cross training of Boeing personnel. 4. Participate in normal day to day operation, Aircraft Towing, Aircraft Servicing, Aircraft Daily and Turnarounds, Aircraft Weight and Balance and Aircraft Jacking.  Assist Teammates with Environmental Control Systems, Power Plants and Mechanical duties5 Participate and understand the importance of Tool Control and FOD Program. Identifying any potential safety issues and clearly communicating with team members and shop floor Lead/Supervisor.  Identifying all parts removed from aircraft with current project tagging and protection procedures.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) and at least 4 years of F-18 aircraft experience
  • Must be able to obtain a secret DoD security clearance with ability to maintain that clearance for continued employment
  • Must be willing to work as a Casual hire employee – temporary assignment (6 to 8 months)
  • Have completed F / A-18 Fleet Replacement Aviation Maintenance Program or equivalent course. Basic wire repair school, harness build up, soldering, Fiber Optics. Ability to operate Government Support Equipment (GSE).
  • Have a minimum of four years experience on the F/A-18 aircraft in one or more of the following specialties: RADAR, ECM and communication navigation system
  • The ability to operate the following test equipment: Memory Loader Verifier Set (MLVS), Pitot/Static test set, Radar Liquid Cooling System Decontaminate and service unit, FACT Mapper, Nitrogen Servicing Cart.
      Preferred Qualifications:  
  • U.S. Navy or USMC background
  • Active Secret DoD clearance
