Job Description: Provides for aircrew briefing of course rules, weather, runway, airport construction, NOTAMS, etc. Files, activates and closes FAA flight plans as required. Provides active flight following for possible SAR situations. Maintains certain aircraft and aircrew flight records. Coordinates airspace requirements with FAA and DOD agencies depending on flight profiles. Assists visiting aircrew with flight planning, briefing, filing, weather and local transportation needs. Serves as point of contact for incoming ferry flights coordination of airfield, tower, maintenance, and aircraft rescue and firefighting (ARFF) operations.

Additional duties:
Weight and Balance Technical Specialist: Supervise the conduct aircraft weighing operations and complete all computations and update aircraft weight and balance handbook. Issue DD Form365- Form F Weight and Balance flight clearance form.

Basic Qualification:

Must have a High School Diploma with 6 years experience. Will consider a Bachelors Degree With 2 Years of Maintenance Control experience in releasing Aircraft Safe for Flight

Releasing Aircraft Safe for Flight

Experience with OOMA and Nalcomis processes

Screening Aircraft Discrepancy Books ADB

Familiar with the NAMP Naval Aviation Maintenance Program

Shall have sufficient knowledge and experience to effectively assume responsibility for the overall quality of the Contractor maintenance effort IAW the COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2 (series) and 8210.

Ensure all work guides, checkoff lists, check sheets and MRCs used to define and control maintenance are complete and current prior to issuing to crews or individuals.

Demonstrated experience in aviation ground safety and management

Preferred Qualifications

Navy Safe for Flight training

Adversary F-5 standard Operating Procedures

Experience in working with a staff covered by a union collective bargaining agreement


Salary Range: $53,500 USD - $80,300 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
